Your notes, written back into Cliniko.

Cliniko is connected today. Anyhealth records the consult, drafts the note in the format that appointment type already uses in your practice, and writes it back against the right patient and the right appointment when you sign it.

Your records stay in Cliniko. Anyhealth is where the note gets made, not where it lives — which is also the answer to what happens to your records if you ever stop using it.

How the connection works

It reads your diary, not your patient list
Anyhealth polls the appointments in your Cliniko diary across a short window either side of today, and takes the patient details attached to those bookings. There is no bulk import of your patient database: the first thing it knows about a patient is that they have an appointment with you.
The note arrives in your practice's own format
Note formats are mapped to your Cliniko appointment types, so a routine review and an initial assessment produce differently structured notes. That mapping is set up with your practice during onboarding rather than chosen from a menu of presets.
Signing writes it back, as a draft or as final
You choose at sign-off. The default writes a draft treatment note you finalise inside Cliniko, which keeps the last word on the record in the system that holds it; you can write it as a final note instead. Nothing reaches Cliniko unsigned.
More than one Cliniko account, where that is how a group runs
A practice group spanning two Cliniko accounts connects both. Each note goes back to the account the consult came from, worked out from the consult itself rather than from a default setting someone has to remember to change.

Your documentation should not depend on which system you run

Your note formats, your consent records and the notes you have signed are held in Anyhealth and connect out to the practice management software you run today. Change systems and the way you document does not have to change with it.

Connections are held per account rather than one per practice, so a group running different systems across its locations is a normal case rather than an exception to be worked around.

The full argument, and what else is connected

Australian, and it stays that way

Audio, transcripts and clinical content are processed and stored in Australia, in AWS’s Sydney region. Note drafting runs on an Australia-only inference profile. Identifiable content is not used to train models.

Your clinical records remain the property of your practice. Signed notes are written back into your own practice management software as you sign them, so if you stop using Anyhealth the records are already where they belong.

How your data is handled

Common questions

Does Anyhealth read the notes already in my Cliniko account?

No. Anyhealth writes notes into Cliniko and does not read the ones that were already there, so a patient you have seen for two years shows the consults documented in Anyhealth rather than their full history. Everything already in Cliniko stays exactly where it is and is untouched.

What happens to my notes if I stop using Anyhealth?

They are already in Cliniko. Every note is written back as you sign it rather than held and exported later, so there is nothing to migrate and nothing to ask us for. That is the test the product is built to pass: delete the account tomorrow and nothing is lost that is not already in your practice management software.

Can a practice group with two Cliniko accounts connect both?

Yes. Connections are held per account rather than one per practice, so a group running separate Cliniko accounts across its locations connects each one, and every note is written back to the account its consult came from.

Everything else we get asked

The other systems

More systems are added as practices ask for them. If yours is not here, the booking form asks which one you run, and that is how the next one gets chosen.

Start with one of your own consults.

Every practice is onboarded by hand, so the first conversation is a real one: what you document, which system you are on, and whether Anyhealth fits.
